Blogging newbie!

I have been thinking about joining the blogging world for a few years.  I hope to use this blog as both a scrapbook of things I’ve made and a journal of all the new and wonderful quilty-type things I’ve learned.

On, September 7, 2013, I bought fabric and taught myself how to quilt by using several tutorials from quilt bloggers.  The tutorial I used was from Amy Smart, at Diary of a Quilter.  You can find the tutorial here.  I finished the quilt a few days later, on September 11.

Part way through the process, I was intimidated by the upcoming quilting and the binding so I turned it into a rag quilt as a means of avoiding those two things.  A love and an addiction was born.  I was off and running.

Here are a few pictures of my very first quilts.  Thanks for looking!  I hope you enjoy following my journey.
